It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of retired Captain Randy Piticco. Randy passed away peacefully on December 22, 2015 with his family at his side. He fought a courageous battle against lung cancer over the past several months. Randy was 61 years old and had worked for the Surrey Fire Service from April 18, 1977 to September 25, 2009.
Randy was a valued member of the Fire Department, Surrey Fire Fighters’ Association, and the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Retirees Association. He developed many close friendships over his 32 year career, and will be missed dearly. Let us remember Randy’s positive spirit and dedication to the Surrey Fire Service and SFFA Local 1271.
There will be a Line of Duty Death service held in January TBA. SFFA 1271 executive will consult with the family liaison and provide more details soon.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Randy and his entire family at this difficult time.
