Battle of the Brews

ABOUT THE EVENT

102.7 THE PEAK and Surrey Fire Fighters Brew up support for Athletics 4 Kids

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society and 102.7 THE PEAK will host the 4th Annual Battle of the Brews on Saturday August 20 at Surrey City Hall Plaza from 1-5pm (doors open at 12:30).  This fun charity event will offer attendees a great afternoon of craft beer tasting and food trucks while listening to 102.7 THE PEAK Alternative Vancouver.  Attendees will get the chance to help choose their favourite beers and all proceeds from the event will fund Athletics 4 Kids and Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society youth initiatives.

– Admission ticket includes ALL your beer samples and a souvenir tasting mug!  No annoying beer tokens needed.

– Empty resalable water bottles are encouraged. There is a free water refill station on site.

– Food trucks are extra, but there will be light complimentary snacks available.

– There will be a 50/50 draw, raffle and donations accepted on site by card or cash.

About Athletics for Kids:  A4K’s overarching goal is to be there to assist any B.C. child in their dream of playing amateur sports. We want all kids to have the opportunity to play.  Hundreds of children and youth are denied the opportunity to participate in amateur sports due to one simple fact: lack of funds.

Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society share this goal and our experiences running youth programs has taught us that all kids need help and support and someone who believes in them. A4K provides the help and support by getting dollars into the hands of those who need it most, quickly and effectively.   A4K help families bear the expense of having their children participate in organized sports by paying basic registration fees for a multitude of approved sports.
