It is with deepest regret and sorrow we report the death of Fire Fighter Kevin Hegarty, IAFF Local 1271, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Brother Hegarty, 53, died on March 1, 2015.
FUNERAL SERVICE DETAILS
DATE: Monday, March 30th, 2015
SERVICE: 10:30am (sharp)
MUSTER: 9:00am at, 27thA Avenue and 150th Street, Surrey, BC
LOCATION: Peace Portal Alliance Church, 15128 27 B Avenue, Surrey, BC (entrance off of 152 Street, south of King George Blvd)
RECEPTION: Following the service, a reception will be held in the Church gymnasium
PARKING: We encourage all members to car pool. The closest additional parking available is at South Surrey Athletic Park (2200 block on 148th Street) approximately 2.5 km away. There is some on street parking available in the surrounding area.
WAKE: 1:00 pm Following the Service/Reception, a wake will be held at The Barge Inn, 7375 144th St., Surrey

DRESS: For uniformed personnel, the Class “B” uniform consists of the following items,
Tunic with current fire service flashes, service bars on left cuff and round collar dogs on lapel
- Trousers/skirt
- Black leather belt with issued buckle
- Polished leather shoes or boots
- Black socks
- Rank appropriate dress work shirt (White or Lt Blue) with rank appropriate collar dogs
- Navy Tie
- Hat with issued Badge
- Rank appropriate hat band for confirmed Officers
- Adornments: Ribbons and merit awards only
- Medals worn by Honour Guard only
- Black band on hat badge – will be provided at ceremony (if needed).
