For more than twenty years, the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society has proudly run the Adopt a Family program, supporting approximately twenty-five families and over fifty children each year. Each participating fire station “adopts” a family, providing a food hamper along with gifts for both children and parents.

The program culminates in a festive celebration at the YMCA, with the help of off-duty firefighters and community volunteers. Families are treated to music, food, activities for the children, and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

This event truly embodies the Christmas spirit, giving low-income families the opportunity to enjoy a joyful and memorable holiday season with support from the Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society.
